This Month's Theme - Celebrating Our Success
Here are some favourite quotesand success stories
  • If it's worth doing then it's worth doing well
  • If you are not trying to get better then you are falling behind.
Great Administration
As most of us know Mr. MacLaurin is moving on. He has been a wonderful asset to our staff and will be greatly missed. In that light, the following is his celebratory comment about our school's successes:

“I have felt very fortunate and successful in working with such great teachers, EA’s, office administrators, custodians, bus drivers, volunteers, etc.”

Swimming in the deep end

A weak swimmer at our school faced his/her fear to move from non-swimmer to active participant. Well done!

Making Movies

Grade 5's learned how to use movie maker and posted their movies!

Eating Healthy

Grade 3 students provided some great healthy lunch recipes for a compilation of recipes on CD!

Generous Fundrasin
g:

The parents of the Tyendinaga School Council provide funds for the continuing advancement of teaching and learning by generously supporting the purchase of 4 Smartboards for our school community.  The many hours put forth organizing various fundraising activities by many parents must be celebrated as one of our biggest successes this year. Our teachers and students are very thankful.

Great Beginnings

The JK classes made huge progress this year to learn the rules and routines of the classroom, and their alphabet and letter sounds.

Boomerang Lunches
alt  My Boomerang is Coming Back. Our new initiative which has improved our recycling program and  is making our students more aware of the amount of packaging we use as a community continues. The Boomerang program encourages children to bring recyclable materials back home and to reduce the amount of recyclable material they actually use. We continue to do a great job.
