Twinned schools S.H. Connor and Tweed-Hungerford, located on picturesque grounds across the street from each other in the village of Tweed, serve approximately 480 elementary students. S.H. Connor is the primary school with Junior Kindergarten to Grade 3 students. Tweed-Hungerford is the junior and intermediate school for students in Grades 4 to 8.

The two schools are Healthy Active School Communities.  Each school has a fully equipped gymnasium, computer lab and library.  Both schools offer a variety of sports and clubs for students and operate on a balanced school day schedule. Special programs include SKILL, a School-based Kinesthetic Individual Learning Program, Terrific Kids, Student Leadership Program, Read Aloud Program, and the VIP Program delivered by the local Ontario Provincial Police.

Students proceed to Centre Hastings Secondary School in Madoc for Grades 9 to 12.
