School Photo

Stirling Senior Public School, located in the village of Stirling, serves approximately 240 students in Grades 6 to 8.

Stirling Senior PS has a combined computer lab and library, a fully-equipped music room and two complete science rooms. The school yard is a large open space with a soccer pitch, baseball diamond, track and a variety of playground equipment. The property also includes a trail system used for outdoor education and athletic programs. Students at Stirling Senior PS take part in character education programs focusing on school respect agreements. Celebrations of learning include community partnerships with local agencies, an extensive music program, the Quinte Regional Science & Technology Fair and other projects. The strong supportive parent community contributes time and resources to improve school programs and facilities.

For Grades 9 to 12 the majority of Stirling Senior PS students proceed to Bayside Secondary School with a few attending Centre Hastings Secondary School.

School Climate Survey

Please click on the above icon PARENTS to begin your survey!
*Students please see "Information for Students"

The Ministry of Education has created School Climate Surveys to reflect Bill 157 Keeping our Kids Safe at School Act and the Equity and Inclusive Schools Initiative. Our board has placed the surveys on a survey tool to gather information from parents / guardians, students and staff. We are interested in what everyone has to say and all responses are confidential.  There is a text box at the end of the survey for an additional comments. The purpose of the school climate survey is to find out about two closely related issues 1) equity and inclusive education—that are fundamental requirements for all schools in Ontario, and 2) bullying / harassment, including discrimination, sexual harassment, and homophobia among students at our school .  This information will be used by the school to help promote an environment of respect, safety, and belonging for all students.  Schools need to be safe and welcoming places so that students can feel comfortable enough to learn.  Information gathered will help support and direct our school improvement plans.
