On Wednesday April 22, the POW community got together in order to stand UNITED at the Caring Community Celebration. The celebration drew one of the largest outpourings of people from all over the city in recent years for the school with members from the the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board and the local media there as well to help celebrate.

Guests were greeted with a BBQ that raised funds for charities. To commemorate the occasion, all visitors could leave a hand print and signature to show their support for the school.

A big thank you to students, teachers and volunteers who helped to create decorations and displayed some of their classroom work to share all around the school.
