What Is Canadian and World Studies?

Canadian and World Studies is the academic department which encompasses all courses in the areas of history, geography, law, economics, politics and civics. The CWS department is proud to offer a wide range of courses to meet the needs and levels of ability of all our students.

CWS courses assist in the development of informed citizens. Science and technology may provide the instruments to solve problems, but never the direction to apply those instruments. It is the study of economics, geography, history, and law that allows society to solve the economic, ethical, social, and cultural aspects of the problems that face us locally, nationally, and globally.

But why should you enroll in any of them? After all, you want a real job when you graduate and everyone knows that a real job in today's technological world means that these subjects are obsolete. Right? Wrong! Check out the courses!
