Kente Public School, “The place from which to go forward,” is a rural school located near the village of Ameliasburgh in Prince Edward County, in a very spacious country setting. It serves 281 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8. School programs focus on character education, literacy and numeracy in a safe and healthy learning environment.
Kente Public School has an automated library resource centre, a gymnasium, three play fields, computer labs and a multi-purpose room. Students are educated to become confident, responsible citizens. At Kente PS, activities that show caring and celebrate learning include: Terrific Kids assemblies, STAR reading, sports tournaments, instrumental music for our intermediate students and book fairs. Kente Public School is a Healthy Active School Community. Students, staff and a very active parent group support charities such as the Terry Fox Foundation, UNICEF, and Christmas Sharing Program.
Kente PS students proceed to Grades 9 at a secondary school in Prince Edward County, Belleville or Trenton.

March break begins. Please have a safe and fun week, whether you're staying home our going on vacation remember to have fun!
Int. Girls Basketball
After the march break the girls basketball team will go into a cutting edge district tournament. Lets make sure we show wonderful sportsmenship and respect for everyone! Lets make Kente proud girls!
Int. Boys Basketball
Int. boys did great this year! They had a tough year and did awesome in the county tournament. They were unfortunately beat out in the runners up tournament. Better luck next time boys.

Kente's Christmas Wish!
On December 23 all of Kente's students will be coming home to spend a wonderful, safe, and happy Christmas with their adored loved one's. We hope you all have a safe Christmas vacation. Whether you're staying home or going to see family or even both remember to stay up on your school work as we will be sending home lots of work! Just kidding........

Yuletide Concert
COME ONE COME ALL
On December 20th at 6:30 you are invited to a night of fun and joy in the school gym. There will be 50/50 tickets with the proceed going to buy turkeys for our Christmas Sharing Program. Throughout the night you will listen to the wonderful tunes by the Grade 8 Pit Band and songs sung by the primary students.
