April is a month where we encourage Autism Awareness amongst our HJC community. Children and adults who appear on the autism spectrum life, work and learn alongside us every day and We owe it to them and to ourselves to learn as much as we can to ensure mutual understanding and productive environments.
Are you interested in learning more about autism? Are you looking for support for your children, students or yourselves?

There are a couple of choices for families to access picture book reading online from home. We thought we'd provide the links below.

CRITICAL THINKING
Students are asked, on a daily basis, to think critically about the world around them. A critical mind should be trained to analyze and question everything that is read, seen, listened to, etc... Many parents are questioning, "What is critical thinking?" "How can I help my child to think critically?" If you are one of these parents, please take a look at these two articles - designed to help parents encourage critical thinking in their children.
