Each activity begins with a "community circle" to ensure all students are included and every student voice is heard. Stay tuned for more activities ahead! |

HOUSE Activity November 13 |
|
Students participate in HOUSE groups on Nov. 13, with each HOUSE in a separate room. The focus of HOUSE activities is to provide an opportunity for each student to participate together with their HOUSE-mates, to gain confidence in using their voice appropriately - to share their opinion, feelings and strategies to make our school a great place to learn and work!
RED HOUSE Activity, November 13:
WHITE student leaders: Mercedes, Talia, - collect WHITE Mrs. Lewis’ class; bring to Pre-School Room (Mrs. Lloyd will be there) Caleb, Dory - collect WHITE from Mrs. Cassidy’s class & bring to Pre-School Room (Mrs. Lloyd will be there)
RED student leaders: Randall, Shauntelle – collect students in RED House from Mrs. Lewis’ class, bring to LIBRARY (Mrs. Cassidy will be there) Jayden, Taylor - assist Mrs. Cassidy in Library

BLACK student leaders: Jesse, Jacinta, Griffen, Karlee, Dustin – collect BLACK from Mrs. Cassidy’s room to GYM; Mrs. Lewis will bring students in Black House from her class
Student leaders organize everyone in the HOUSE in a circle. Ask each person to introduce themselves and their class. (My name is ____ and I am in _______'s class).
Say the directions to the TEAMWORK game, and show how it's done - joining wrists/hands around the circle to pass the hulahoop without breaking the circle. This should be lots of fun! Depending on the time remaining, add a 2nd hulahoop in the same direction, or opposing directions around the circle. The staff will assist the student leaders in each House group.
2:15 Provide the fruit snack for everyone in the House.
2:25 Thank everyone for participating and accompany groups back to their classrooms for 2:30 Period 6. NEXT WEEK - ANTI BULLYING ASSEMBLY to be scheduled. |
