Visual Arts

THE VISUAL ARTS PROGRAM provides opportunities for individual creative and imaginative growth as well as the development of technical skills. Students will be introduced to both traditional and contemporary approaches to drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and printmaking. Art theory will complement studio work, and will include the study of historical works of art, as well as analyses of one's own work. The student's discovery of individual strengths and directions is a prime focus of this program. The cost of field trips and some art supplies is the responsibility of the student.
Visual Arts Admissions Requirements: The student will:
1. Submit a portfolio which will consist of:
a: a self portrait
b: a still life drawing
c: sketchbook
2. Be interviewed
