Overview

The guidance and career education program is a vital and integral part of Bayside’s total program, and involves the efforts of all staff members. Through this program, students are given opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills that they need in order to:

  • learn effectively
  • live and work cooperatively and productively
  • set goals and monitor progress and to carry out their social responsibilities

The program is delivered through a variety of means, including:

  • classroom instruction by all BSS teachers as part of their daily program
  • orientation and exit programs
  • development of a draft path to graduation
  • career exploration activities
  • individual and short-term counselling
